    Sr.No Points
1 The department achieved a significant milestone by successfully disbursing approximately ₹3,900 crore relief to 35.66 lakh farmers across the state for crop losses caused by natural calamities. The financial aid was directly transferred to beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the DBT system, ensuring transparency and efficiency. To expedite the completion of pending eKYC, the department proactively coordinated with Divisional and District authorities, issued instructions to organize multiple eKYC camps, and conducted regular video conferences for monitoring progress. Additionally, consistent follow-ups were made to ensure timely completion of pending Panchnamas, enabling seamless implementation of the relief process. The department’s target was to address all pending applications from 2023–2024, amounting to ₹3,900 crore, and it successfully achieved this by clearing those application within the set timeframe.
2 The crop loss assessment during Kharif 2024 in the districts of Nagpur, Beed, and Parbhani was re-evaluated on a pilot basis by using NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) as an additional parameter. This innovative, satellite-based methodology was implemented in collaboration with MRSAC to enhance the scientific accuracy and objectivity of crop damage evaluation. As part of this initiative, departmental officials visited MRSAC to gain firsthand insights into the NDVI analysis process and its application in the pilot districts. This progressive step reflects the department’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology for improving transparency, reliability, and effectiveness in the assessment and relief distribution process.
3 Integration of the e-Panchnama system with the final AgriStack registry has been initiated to enable seamless access to authenticated land, farmer, and crop information. AgriStack is a comprehensive digital database that aims to create a unified and verified profile of every farmer by linking land records, crop details, and personal information through unique Farmer IDs. As per the issued circular, these AgriStack-generated Farmer IDs must be mandatorily recorded in both the e-Panchnama and DBT systems. This integration will allow the use of authenticated digital data from AgriStack for accurate and transparent relief distribution, significantly improving the efficiency and delivery mechanisms.
